The Mysterious Story of Penguins, Walruses, and Clams
This is Penguin …
This is Walrus …
And this is the Clam …
Penguins eat Clams. Well … Walruses also eat Clams.
Basically, the story will revolve around them.
Chapter 1 - Resources
Even though there are lots of clam under their iceberg … They couldn’t reach it … While on the other side … the walruses have limited to none resources.
This program has been going on for a long time … However, penguin called sparky came up with an idea.
Chapter 2 - PWP (Penguin- Walrus Protocol)
Sparky gather his friends … and together they agreed to meet the walruses for a protocol. So they went there to meet the walruses. And after a long discussion …
They reach an agreement.
Here is the agreement: The Penguin- Walrus Protocol.
- 1 - Walruses will harvest clams for penguins.
- 2 - In return, penguins will extend all- you- can- eat privileges to walruses.
- 3 - Walruses will not eat the penguins.
Thundering cheers rose from the penguins and the walruses.
Everyone was silent for a moment … Then someone said: “What are we waiting for?! Let’s eat!” The penguins and the walruses eat happily that day.
Chapter 3 - Don’t mess with success.
They realise that they are very successful, somehow some penguins are not satisfying yet. They tried to figure out how to be better. But then after a long discussion, they know that they have not enough and not to mess with their successes … But then a major problem occurred …
Chapter 4 - The peak of the problems
The penguins enjoyed the prosperity of the iceberg.
More penguins showed up upon hearing the news. So does the walruses … As a result, more clams were caught, and the cycle continues over and over.
Well … you get the idea. However, a new strange event occurs as a walrus accidently sat on a penguin.
The penguins thought it was only an accident, and did not took seriously. But they were wrong …
Overtime, the penguins’ population become more and more … well … compressed.
Sparky was convinced, there is something that had gone wrong … But his friends convinced him if was only a misfortunate accident. So they asked the walruses to be more careful with their backs, and the walruses agreed. However, things got worse …
The penguin compression instead had gone even worse … And there are reports of penguin and walrus fighting each other.
The penguins held an emergency meeting to discuss this weird phenomenon. And by spending tons of time and expenses, one of the penguins hired a consultant to sort things out. But the fighting just got even worse …
Penguins have stopped coming, and some migrate back to their homelands. So are the walruses …
The penguins decided to hold another meeting.
Agenda
1 - Business
2 - Ice Breakers
Why is it that nothing ever gets done at these meetings?
The penguins brainstormed and discussed what supposed to be their perfect cycle. They realized that there is something missing from this cycle. Something that they can’t see.
They decided to separate in order to spend some time thinking among themselves.
On his way back Sparky came across the spot that symbolized the PW protocol. He stared at it for a long time … He realized the Flag had sunk!
Chapter 5 - Problem solved …?
After finding out that the flag has sunk, Sparky call out the other penguins.
Juneau, Winnipeg and Helsinki came running to where Sparky is. Sparky and the others saw the flag and wonder why it is almost sunk.
The penguins started to discuss why it happened. Finally, they came to a conclusion …
As there is too many penguins and walruses in the iceberg, the extra weight sinks the iceberg and they become much more territorial.
Juneau scratched a new diagram similar to the original with the addiction of the iceberg.
Juneau explained the diagram: “As the number of clams increased, the number of walruses and penguins which come also increase which make the iceberg sink”.
Sparky modified the diagram and explained: “Once the iceberg, that made us all, start fighting and making the penguins and walrus left”.
After drawing the diagram, Winnipeg said that it is like the iceberg is trying to say something about recruitments
It sparks Sparky’s interest and he started to think that everything is connected.
The penguins now discuss what do they really want after experiencing those disasters. They think more carefully as they learned their lesson. To be more aware of the surroundings.
After the discussion, they decided to plant new clams on the mainland as it is more stable than the iceberg.
Sparky is glad that they made the changes. As he thought that they are free of problems in the mainland.
Sparky even creates his own clam business thanks to his idea.
Sparky believe that with his new idea, the problem is solved and they can live peacefully again.
Or So he thought …
The End.
